Beiyang [Pei-yang] applies to what was formerly known as "Zhili Province" and now called "Hubei Province", a district which includes large cities Beijing and Tianjin.

Reverse of the Kann #216 1-Dollar TAI CHING TI KUO Dragon Silver Coin (undated). The Tianjin Central Mint.
39 mm in diameter; 2.5 mm thick; weight 26.9 g

      Kann writes that he saw a copper proof of the 1-dollar coin, marked 34th Year, emanating from the Tientsin [Tianjin] mint, both sides showing the reverse only. Experimental minting, though not adopted fot use, shows the milling of the rim with T-pattern.
